A 3 year old and a 1 year old oh my!

Well I loaded all the pictures backwards because that's what I used to have to do w/ Blogger to get them to appear correctly but apparently they fixed that so these go from the end to the beginning. . .

Ty turned 1 year old on November 15th!  I can't believe a year has gone by. . .this time last year I was kinda coo-coo. . .I think I've gotten a little better. hee hee:)  Gosh, this little guy is my SNUGGLER (especially w/ Carol!) :)  He loves to hug.  He started walking at 11 months so was a pro by his birthday.  Ty's favorite food is pizza and ice cream so that's what he had on his birthday.  Total boy.  His favorite toy is the ball popper--he could play with it for ever.  He loves throwing the balls over his back. . .Zach says he's practicing his touchdown dance.  :)  He likes to play with toys that make noise and he loves putting toys in containers. . .this sometimes means toys go into the ball popper which makes it a bit hard for the balls to pop.  He adores his sister and wants to be playing whatever she is playing with.  (She doesn't love it so much)  Ty loves to open and close doors and thinks he is really funny when he does it. . .drives me nuts because I am scared he is going to lose a finger.  He also loves to get into the cupboards. ..and garbage!  ugghh--I don't want to baby proof my cupboards so I'm hoping he becomes disinterested in this quickly!  He enjoys climbing the stairs whenever we allow him to.  He HATES when his Daddy leaves for work in the morning and LOVES when he gets home at night.  He is my happy little boy that always just goes with the flow and makes me wanna burst with love and happiness.  Walking into his room in the morning to his giggles, jumping and big smiles is the best thing in the world!!  I love you little guy--Happy Birthday to you.

This is how Ty's birthday party ended--he was pooped!
He loved his new car from mom and dad--his sister and cousin loved it too!
Mom and Dad with the big birthday boy.
Ty was so cute with his cake.  He leaned down and took bites with no hands most of the time.
The cake was made by Amy, my sister in law---we love Amy Cakes!  The block letters were a gift from Leah at one of my baby showers.  I thought they looked cute by the cake.
Ty had to get his hair cut for the first time before his big day.  He did really good and looks so dang cute w/ his short hair.  My little man!
1 year well check up stats:  21.6 lbs-50th percentile, 30.75 in tall-80th percentile. . .I'm not sure the height is going to last too long. :)

Abigail Kristine celebrated her 3rd birthday on November 6th, just a week before Ty.  Ty and Abs had been sick w/ the flu just days before her birthday and then I got it ON her birthday so our celebration that night was a bust.  We did celebrate the next night by taking Abs out to Red Robin--her fave place to eat because she gets quarters and wins candy!  Abby is all about Cars and Toy Story this year.  She is getting quite an imagination and I love sitting back and watching her play.  Her favorite foods are cucumbers (the girl could eat an entire cucumber!), popcorn, ice cream (she sometimes cons me into letting her have it for breakfast) and they both love steak!  HA  She is the most polite little girl I know, saying "thank you Mom" and please, excuse me and God bless you. She is quite the talker all.the.time!  I love the things she says.  I can't even believe she is three years old!  She is pretty much out of the terrible twos and only has fits here and again. . .for the most part she wakes up happy and goes to bed happy.  Today she woke up and crawled into our room acting like a puppy.  Hilarious!

So Abs got to celebrate her birthday with her friends at preschool on her actual birthday--I made cupcakes (right before I got sick-thank Goodness) for her to take to school, then she got to go to Red Robin the next night, celebrate w/ some family at Chuck E Cheese on Saturday and end w/ the Fresh Beat Band Concert!  She had a wonderful week of celebrating.  I love you sweet girl--Happy 3rd Birthday!

Here we are at Chuck E Cheese--Griffin pretty much just drove this the ENTIRE time.  He loves anything "workin man"!

We discovered that Ty loves anything with a steering wheel.  He had a great time on the rides too.
Could this not be the sweetest pic ever?  Cousin Sophes kissing the birthday girl!
All the gals headed out to the Fresh Beats!  Abby and Sophia LOVED the concert.
The mini cupcakes I made for preschool.  Cherry Chip w/ pink frosting--my fave. . .so I was hoping it would become Abby's fave too but she's more of an ice cream gal like her Dad.
Grandma and Grandpa got Abs a new trampoline since she loves to jump and she is on that thing all.the.time!  She will watch TV while jumping. . .poor girl is gonna lose weight if she's not careful.  Ty also loves this thing.  He sits on his knees and jumps and laughs so hard.  It's hilarious but also a lot of work because I have to make sure he doesn't fall off.
Our dinner at Red Robin.  She wanted this Cars hat to wear. . .just looks awesome!  She wasn't so sure about the crew singing to her.  :)

3 year well check up stats:  29.50 lbs.-38th percentile (gettin skinny!) and 36.42 in.- 34th percentile. . .gonna be a shrimp like her mama I think. :)

Now on to Daddy's birthday on Monday--November is the Birthday month at the Wyckoff home!!

Pumpkin Patch 2012!

A few weekends ago the fam decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and head to the pumpkin patch.  Normally we go to the Fall City Pumpkin Patch but this year we drove past Remlinger Farms and Zach asked if we should try it out. . .what a GREAT decision it was!  We had the MOST fun enjoying not only the pumpkins but also their Fall Harvest Festival which included a petting zoo, food and rides for the kiddos.

Abby got to ride her first pony!  She was so excited and had a perma-grin the whole time!
Ty rode his first pony too. . .a plastic pony--he too, had a perma grin the whole time!
We all got to ride on a steam engine train around the entire farm--so, so cool!
Seriously can't imagine what Disneyland will be like someday! :)
The kids got to climb on an old fire truck and Abs even drove it.
Speaking of driving. . .both Abs and Ty got to drive Mom and Dad around in an old car.
 Nearing nap time. . .
but first a hayride out to the pumpkins!  Abby loved this so much that we had to do it a few times.
Ty loved that we finally let him out of the Ergo!  Check out his hair flying in the wind.  He was in heaven.

Abby also got to go down a big blow up slide a few times, jump in a jumpy house and pet some animals.  It was such a fun day and I can't wait to do it again next year. . .or heck, if they have Christmas trees we'll have to check them out for that too!

September. . .

. . .has come and gone so quickly!  I can't believe it's over.  I have been a horrible blogger and feel terrible about it since this is pretty much baby books for both my babes.  September was such a beautiful and busy month.  Here is a quick picture recap of the month.

Abby got a hair cut in preparation for preschool!  She was such a good girl and asks about going back. . .I don't know why--they have her favorite toy-Buzz and she gets candy!

 First Day of Preschool 2012-2013

Driving around in the morning makes for a weird schedule every once in awhile and this particular day Ty did not want to lay down for a nap so I stuck him in the jump up and he finally fell asleep!
A new restaurant opened up in Woodinville--Station Pizzeria, which we love because they let Abby play with dough and we always spot hot air balloons.  Abby loves them and wants our whole family to go on a ride in one.  hmmmn
A fun grocery shopping trip to Safeway. . .Abby loves the cart w/ the car because she has the option of driving us around OR sitting next to her brother.  She also knows they have complimentary cookies in the bakery so that is always our first stop!
Even though she loves her cookies, she is good about brushing her teeth and getting the "sugar buggies" clean.  Her first dentist appointment went so well.  She let them do everything without a fuss--she was so excited!
The dentist is up in Smokey Point so we had to make a quick trip to the outlet mall on the way home.  Abs, of course, just wanted to play on the toys and Grammy was with us so kept forking over the quarters for her to ride.  What's that crazy lady doing to my child?  Oh wait, that's me!  Hahaha
We visited cousins. . .here we are comparing Ty and Nina since they are only about 4 1/2 months apart.  Ty really just wanted to attack Nina the whole time.  :)
Abs and Don have seen a lot of each other lately it seems.  Most of the time they play really well together.  I had to take them on a little walk to look at the moon and stars.  :)
All the Hussey girls went to see Tim McGraw.  Grandpa watched my babes since Zach was in Germany and when we got home it was hilarious.  Abs was awake standing in the window of her room under the blinds saying "big red truck is back" all while there was a huge poo in her diaper.  Ty was crying his head off and my dad was snoring in his room with the baby monitor sitting on the kitchen counter because he thought we'd want to see the kids when we got home. . .well, we saw them alright!  Hee hee, both went back to sleep in no time.  It still makes me laugh.
Our bigga boy is taking steps but he gets so excited to get to the person he is stepping to that he can only take a few steps and then lunges towards us.  We're wondering if he'll be fully walking by his first birthday. . .we'll see!
Our bigga girl just keeps growing. . .right out of her jammies!  :)  She is so adorable right now saying and doing so much.  She amazes me every day with her vocabulary, sentences, counting, alphabet, sense of humor, dancing, using her imagination, working on the computer etc.  She is a quick learner and LOVES to do everything on her own.
I still can't believe my children are turning 3 and 1 next month.  I am excited for their birthdays!  Next post--The Pumpkin Patch. . .coming soon.  :)  Happy Fall everyone!

He's been out as long as he was in. . .

Well the little guy is 9+ months old. . .he's officially been out about as long as he was in--WOW!  I can't believe how fast these past 9 months have gone.  I am absolutely loving life right now with my little babes...yah, I have a stressful day here and there and I still haven't figured out how to fit in working out (but I actually think I am close with that one--a few early mornings are in store and some Sunday morning bike rides w/ my neighbor hopefully) but my family makes me smile and giggle all the time and it just doesn't get much better than that.  I'm not gonna sugar coat anything--the first three months of Ty's life I was a wreck. . .I was trying to do waaaay too much, waaaay too quickly and with all the crazy hormones, whoa. . .sooo glad that is a thing of the past, lets just put it that way.  :)
Ty wants to do everything his big sister does which means he will probably be walking before his first birthday!  He is already pulling himself up on things and walking down the length of the couch and behind the walker wagon (which you'll see in a video below).
I love how low our front window is because the kiddos can look out no problem.  Ty is really trying to look at something. . .and maybe climb the wall too, I'm not sure.  :)  He likes to climb on me, his dad and his sister whenever he gets the chance.  That usually involves some scratching of the face and/or hair pulling.  Thankfully Abby thinks its kind of funny and doesn't get mad. . .most of the time. :)
Ty also always wants to play with anything his sister is playing with.  Abs hit her knee on the coffee table so I gave her a cold pack--clearly they both wanted it in their mouth more than she needed it on her knee.
Ty Buggy has 2 bottom teeth and one on top.  He loves to chomp on anything including grass and anything that might be on the floor which means I am constantly running around after Abigail to make sure there isn't a choking hazard on the floor!
He also loves to zerbert his food out of his mouth all over whoever is feeding him--ask Janice, she knows what I am talking about.  :)  We have to make sure to strap this boy in his high chair because he already acts like he is going to climb out. .. we never had to worry about that with Abs.  I seriously get a work out all day long with these two babes.  It's crazy but I love it.  They both have been doing so good with a babysitter too so it's so much easier for me to plan things--gosh, Zach and I had two date nights within like 4 days--uuuhh, that's more than we've had the last two years I think!  AND we're going to the Husky game on Saturday together with no kids--whoa!  Both babes are at such a fun age right now-I love it.

Ty had his 9 month check up on the 17th but I can't find his sheet with the stats.  :(  I think he was 35th percentile for weight and I wanna say like 70th for height.  So funny because I don't think of him as being tall but I do think of him as being a chunker munker and apparently he's the opposite.  HA  No shots this time so it was a pretty painless appointment.  We won't head back to the doc til he is 1 and Abs is 3.  Holy cow. . .

He is starting to really talk although the only word I have made out so far is dada. . .hmmn, I guess he is saving the best for last.  hee hee  I just love this guy to pieces. . .when I am putting him to bed and he is grabbing my hair or nose or trying to use my arm as a chew toy I start to giggle which makes him giggle so it ends up taking a little longer than it should. . .I try to hold it in but can't help myself--he is just so cute.

Here's a video to end with of Ty walking behind the walker wagon.  There is no sound for some reason but I kind of like it that way--reminds me of the videos of me and my siblings from when we were this age.  I so wanted to add comments in this post about Abigail but I told myself I was devoting this one to Ty Bug. . .she is the best big sis a brother could ask for though, that is for sure!  I love you baby boy.

Summer Fun!

This summer has been a blast so far and I feel like its just begun (probably because we are just now starting to get nice weather).  Last weekend Abby had her cousins up for a slumber party!  We had a great time in Kirkland watching the Blue Angels.  I met Kyle, Amy and the kids at the marina in downtown Kirkland and while Kyle and Amy boated off for a date day/night, I whisked the kids away to go pick out their favorite ice cream!

After ice cream we found a little park to play at where we could see some big planes.  The kids were sticky and filthy with sand by the end but I think they all had a great time.  I felt like my mom back in the day with a 6 yr old, 3yr old, 2 1/2 yr old and 8 mo old--It was like when she would go out with Michelle, Kyle, me and Kora!  People looked at me like I was crazy--probably because I had a baby in the front pack and 3 kids in a double stroller.  heehee
All bathed and ready for a movie and popcorn w/ Uncle Zach!  The kiddos LOVE popcorn and Uncle Zach loves watching movies.
This is how they slept. Sophia was in Abby's bed and Abby and Griff shared a queen size mattress.  Of course Abby and Griff also used her bed and the mattress as jumping stations.  Griff would jump off of Abby's bed onto the mattress.  When Kyle and Amy got to our house and saw that they were playing like this Kyle was a little nervous but I just had to tell him I don't look and just hope its all okay.  :)
The newly landscaped backyard has been wonderful.  Abby loves to run around back there and we don't have to have boots on to do it.  The other day Shasta and Quinn came over to say hello.  Abby LOVES playing w/ the dogs. . .Ty, on the other hand, was a little apprehensive.  You can sorta tell by the lines by his eyes that he is crying.  :)
This summer Abby's preschool has 4 summer camps that she can go to.  So far she's done 3 and loves them.  Here she is eating lunch w/ her friends, McKenna and Sarah.  I just love picking her up and seeing her sitting at the table w/ her lunch for some reason.  It's just so cute.
The other evening I took Abs and Ty on a run/walk at the Burke Gilman trail and ended at the park in Woodinville.  I finally remembered to bring sand toys for the sand box.  Abby was a little disappointed that the sand wasn't firm enough for her to make sand castles but I think she still had fun.  Ty, of course, ate a handful of sand right after this picture!  YUK
My pretty little lady sportin one of Sophia's old outfits.  She looked so cute in it. . .and she is just getting so old, I can't even believe she will be 3 this year!
Ty is also getting so big.  He'll be 9 months Aug. 15th!  He is crawling everywhere and he is fast!  He is also pulling himself up onto things and then thinks he can stand/walk on his own.  I feel like I am all over the place trying to protect him from biting the dust.  He is so proud that he can almost do the same things as his sister.  He wants to be just like her!  Yesterday they both wore me out--she likes to sit and lay on him and he likes to try to climb her and pull her hair.  They both don't care that the other is doing it but I care. . .it's so hard keeping them apart though!
Last night I took the kids to Redmond Town Center for dinner and to play.  Zach was at a work out competition type thing at the gym and we were stir crazy from being home all day so we ventured out.  I was so tired though and kind of worried my idea would backfire on me and dinner w/ two babes would be a disaster.  I prayed it would all be okay because I really wanted a nice dinner. . .and they were both soooo good.  I had each one in a highchair on either side of me.  After dinner we went to get ice cream and play w/ the toys.  There was a concert too so we listened to that for awhile.  Abby and Ty loved being outside enjoying the warm summer evening.  Ty fell asleep on the way home and Abby was close!
I'm so glad we still have some summer left to play in the sun!  I just wish I got summer break like the kids so we could play all day every day!  :)
