Our baby girl was baptized on Saturday at St. Jude's Parish in Redmond. It was a wonderful day with family and friends celebrating Abigail Kristine's special day. We asked Kyle and Amy to be Abby's Godparents and they gladly accepted. It meant a lot to me to have my twinners play such an important role in my daughter's life.

Abigail got to go to work with me the other day so I could show her off and attend a meeting. She did great and slept most of the time. Here she is just chillin in her big executive chair. :) She loves the car, thank goodness, because the ride out to the resort is quite long! I had to go out again a few days later but didn't take her. She stayed home with Dad which meant I missed a few feedings with her. . .this lead to me having to pump in the car on the ferry ride home. It was either that or milk explosion!!! Boy has life changed. :)

Amy found this picture of a cute little mouse and said it reminded her of our Abigail. . .just a little chunker w/ chipmunk cheeks. Once I saw it I had to agree. My mom's friend Margaret always thought I looked like a little Beatrix Potter character when I was little so I guess Abs has a bit of that look as well. She even folds her hands like the little mouse above.

Look at my happy little baby! This cute dress is from Sara Andrews and the little baby legs are from Janene. I've been dying for Abby to get big enough to wear this outfit because the dress is so dang cute-I wish it came in my size! I was trying to wait for a special occasion for her to wear a dress to but there hasn't been any so she got dressed up to hang out with her ol' momma today. :)On Mondays and Wednesdays I go to the gym for Body Pump and Zach stays home with Abs. When I left today she was in her rocker asleep in the outfit above and when I got back she was in this outfit. . .sound asleep again. Zach said she had a major blowout and had to change her into her jammies but he loved the Baby Legs so much he kept them on her. . .and her legs are all crossed--gosh, we made a beautiful baby!! I just kept wanting to laugh thinking about him cleaning her up and when I look at her in this pic I can't help but smile.

We are home from the big check up. Some of you may know that I was not one that went out and bought a ton of baby books to prepare for being a mom. . .I figured one book was enough and if I had a question about anything I could always look it up online. Well, I completely forgot the section on "what to expect at your child's two month check up" because I scanned it so long ago. I was totally unprepared to hear that my baby was going to have 3 SHOTS today!!! I instantly felt sick to my stomach in fear for how Abigail was going to handle it. I kept thinking back to when Joe had shots and cried and cried when he got home and I just held him crying as well until we both fell asleep in my parent's bed--so we were both babies. . . :) Abs actually did really well at the entire appointment. She didn't mind having her clothes off--partially because there was a mirror and she loves those and I had her on her snugly blanket from Zach's aunt and uncle. She was so smiley that it made me even more sad to know that in a few short minutes she was not going to be a happy camper. I didn't even have baby Tylenol at home!! Horrible mother. The shots were so quick but her face did instantly go bright red and on came the crying. I swept her up in my arms and soothed and nursed her and very quickly the crying stopped and she fell fast asleep. I had to shed a few tears myself--so I'm still a huge baby, who cares. :) I decided I would go get her Tylenol and get myself a glass of wine!! Neither one of us has gotten our fix of either yet though and we are both doing fine. As soon as Abs wakes up I will give her a little shot of the Baby T. Okay, enough about the drama of the shots--on to her stats!!
Comparison of her first check up and this one:
11/18/09--19 1/2 inches 25th%
1/14/10--22 1/2 inches 50%
11/18/09--6lbs 9oz 7th%
1/14/10--11lbs 13oz 75th%
11/18/09--13 1/2 inches 20th%
1/14/10--15 5/8 inches 70th%
Our little girl has really grown. The doctor was so proud of how well Abby is doing, especially since she was born at 35 weeks. If she had gone full term she would be off the charts for her growth--ha. . .she has always been "growing generously". :)

Seriously, every day I wake up and change my little Abby-girl, she gets cuter and cuter. She has the sweetest smile and is doing it more and more. I love it. Here are the girls in their greys. . .I mean, who doesn't love a grey sweatshirt? She loves sitting on her dad's lap while looking in the mirror. It's so cute.I finally put her on her mat thingy w/ toys that hang overhead (I can't think of what this toy is called) but none the less, she loves it. She smiles and stares and has even fallen asleep and pooed through an outfit while laying down there.A shot back to what we see when we are in the car. Our little one and her cheeks fast asleep. She loves the car and will look out the window in awe until she falls asleep. . .but she doesn't like it much when the car actually stops.I just love her little mouth in this pic. . .it's like she is about to smile but is trying to hold it back because she knows how much I love it and wants to hold me in suspense. Tomorrow is her 2 month check up and I can't wait to see how much she weighs. She is a good little eater. . .as we've all noticed in her pics. . .I love my little Abberdoodle. . .

It was Chase Fluke's 2nd Birthday Party yesterday so Abby and I decided to take a little road trip to Oly for the day to help him celebrate. She loves taking rides in the car and stayed awake for a good portion of the drive but the humm of the car combined with being snuggled in her car seat always lead her to zonk out. . .which then lead to zonk out most of the day. :) She even fell asleep sitting on Grampy's lap. It sorta looks like I photo shopped her head in the pic since its so sideways--how babies can be comfortable like that is beyond me.Pretty Sophia Rose in her party dress. Look at those beautiful blue eyes. All the cousins. . .Eli Fluke--it was also his birthday--hence, the 40oz.! :) It looks like Abs took a few pulls off it as well. The birthday boy all tuckered out after cake and gifts. Happy Birthday Chase!!

Abigail turned 2 months old yesterday! I can't believe 2 months has gone by since that stormy night in November when my water broke--CRAZY. Time really does fly. Abs is getting so big. She has her 2 month appointment next week so we'll get her weighed then but I think she is 11 or 12 pounds at least. :) She is wearing all of her 3 month clothes now which she has quite a few of so I just want to play dress up with her like every day. She is smiling more and really focusing on us more as well. I have to remind myself that she was a preemie so some of these milestones will be a bit delayed. . .she is breastfeeding wonderfully on both sides now--yippee and she is going 4-5 hours in between feedings on a regular basis. She still loves mom and dad's bed :) and I love when she sleeps with us--I know it's horrible but it just seems so much snugglier to have her in bed with us than in her bassinet.
Here's our cute baby talking to me. The hair in her cowlick stands straight up, its so cute and funny. Our little Rainbow Bright just knocked out. . .I know I say this all the time but I love staring at her when she's sleeping, she's just so dang cute. Here she is sleeping again. Grammy was up here visiting us and she propped her in the corner of the couch and Abs just fell asleep right in the middle of her prayers. :) hee hee, Love when she clasps her hands together like that. When Gramms got here on Tuesday night I handed the babe off so I could take a shower. Again, Abs fell asleep and my mom wouldn't put her down til she woke up. . .so she ended up holding her for over 2 hours. Abs was out like a light. Gramms didn't want her neck showing in the pic which is why she is striking senior portrait pose with her hand. HA Happy Birthday Baby Girl, Momma and Dad love you so much and can't believe how much you've grown.

You can tell you're getting old when this is what your New Year's Eve looks like. :) We had a great time ringing in the new year with a yummy dinner and "The Hangover". When midnight hit Abigail was awake so got to toast with Daddy and I. . .almost made me cry with happiness. I'm looking forward to 2010 and all it has to bring.Abby loved Mike's singing. . .isn't her blanket adorable? Auntie Risa made it for her and we love it so much. . .what a special Christmas gift.Abby is getting so big so its fun to put her in all the cute outfits I have for her. I even tried tennis shoes today. They are little Ralph Lauren's from Birdie--love them!Snuggled in Auntie Risa's blanket again. She may look asleep in this pic but if you look close her eyes are open just enough for her not to miss any action.I just love this picture of her. .. her feet look so tiny and her binkie looks so big. :) She's just startin to get sleepy. . .Zach is done with paternity leave so will be back to work tomorrow (Monday). Guess that means Abs and I are on our own now which means I really have to get my routine down and it also means I will be getting back to the gym--yikes!

Someone got a new rocking horse for Christmas and had to try it out today. These pics just make me smile and I want to grab her little leggers. She was all snuggled in her jammies still so we had to hike her nightgown up for the ride. Seriously, could she be any cuter???
Let er' buck!
