A House Divided. . .

. . .Makes for a baby divided. Poor little baby is going to be confused right from the get go. My parents got us these adorable sweater and hat sets and I bought the bib while Christmas shopping two years ago--HA! I knew then Zach and I were in it for the long haul so I couldn't pass it up. The high chair everything is setting on was my dad's. He got it from my Grandpa's house and cleaned it up as best he could so we can use it for our family. When my sisters and brothers and I were young we used to sit in it out at my Grandma and Grandpa's so it will be fun to have my babies use it too.

Leah's Shower

We celebrated Leah's wedding shower this past weekend. Most people wore green and/or wrote an Irish blessing with their gift to honor the fact that Leah and Mike met on St. Patrick's Day at the Owl N Thistle. It made for a very festive evening. Leah's dad even stayed and enjoyed the evening with the ladies--too cute. :)

Ashley made the rehearsal bouqet--it was beautiful! A shot of the crew while Leah was opening presents--we had a full house! The two hostesses and the guest of honor. A pic of the food--in the background you can see a few tables set up on our deck--it was really cute. I'm so excited for you Leah--what a fun and festive time in your life. Enjoy every moment. Love you!

Sophia's 3rd Birthday

This weekend we celebrated Sophia's 3rd Birthday! I still can't believe she is three years old. It was a beautiful day for her party so we were able to play outside. She got a swingset and this cute little clubhouse from her mom and dad. My mom and I primarily put the house together. . .with a little help from my Dad at the end. :) I was so proud that I actually read directions and got something built.I think this picture is so sweet. Sophes had just taken a bath and had no nap so was really getting sleepy. Usually she is trying to be silly in all her pics so it was nice to get a calm shot. :)Baby Brother Griff smiling at Aunt Kora. He decided to have a major barf-o-rama on me right before I left. The puke got in my hair, on my neck, down my shirt, down my bra and all over my boobs. It was quite disgusting but all I could do was laugh because there was just so much puke!!Sophia being silly in a pic as I mentioned earlier. She always likes to strike weird poses for pictures these days--I guess part of being 3. She had a Cinderella Blue Castle cake so that is what is all over her hands and face. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Funny Story

So Joe had his last high school baseball game last Thursday in Puyallup. North Thurston was in the playoffs so it was a big game. Great news--Joe hit a home run!!! But, that is not where the story stops. Later in the game when his team was up to bat he knew he wasn't close in the line up to be up for awhile and he really needed to go the bathroom. . .he had a horrible stomach ache if you know what I mean. I guess the bathrooms were very far away so he takes a stroll out there, the first batter gets up--strikes out, second batter-OUT, third batter-OUT. .. time for NT to take the field. Joe was playing right field but was still in the bathroom thinking his team was up to bat still. Everyone is out practicing not noticing that Joe has not returned. Finally, the inning is about to start and someone realizes the right fielder is not out there. The ump yells out "Hey, where's your right fielder" where someone responded with "I think he's in the can". :) Everyone laughed and the ump was joking saying maybe I should penalize the team for delay of game etc. etc. Finally Joe finishes up, walks out of the bathroom and realizes his team is out in the field and started bookin it back. When he got back to the field everyone started clapping, even the other players and fans. Fortunately, Joe does not get embarrassed at all about things like this so he just laughed and took his position. NT ended up losing the game by one run but who wouldn't want to end their high school career with a home run and cause for delay of game because you're pooping! HA

Last day of being 32. . .

I thought since my 33rd birthday is tomorrow I'd reflect back on year 32. . .

  1. I moved away from Queen Anne and got to live in West Seattle for awhile--loved it.
  2. My family had a really fun vacation in Eastern WA thanks to Kyle & Amy--I hope we can go back again sometime soon. The weather was fantastic and so was playing Cranium!!
  3. Kyle and Amy announced they were pregers with Baby #2. Griffin LeRoy was born on April 7, 2009.
  4. Kora moved away from me back to Olympia--I really hope that's temporary, I miss her!
  5. I got to watch Joe as the QB1 for North Thurston Football, no injuries this year-thank goodness.
  6. I got engaged. . .after I reserved our wedding and reception site. :)
  7. I got to be with Leah when she found her wedding dress and she was with me when I found mine. .. all in one weekend!
  8. Zach and I had two fabulous vacations--one to Hawaii and one to Whistler. . .I would love to be back in Hawaii right now.
  9. I had a wonderful girls weekend getaway to Scottsdale for lots of sun and relaxation. I pretty much wore two things, my bathing suit and bathing suit cover up.
  10. I enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner NOT at my mom and dads but at Kora and Nicks. It was really fun to have the entire family pitch in with all the food and Nick cooked up a fabo turkey.
  11. I moved to Woodinville during a snow storm.
  12. I now own the house in Woodinville with Zach--first time homeowner for me!
  13. I had the best wedding shower and bach party anyone could ask for.
  14. I found out I was pregnant the week before my wedding!!!
  15. I got married and am now Kimberly Wyckoff

So what will 33 bring me? :) I think some kitties and a baby for sure! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful loving family and friends and the best husband ever--you all helped make 32 such an exciting year. thank you- I love you!
