How do I do it all?

I work full time from home, I am also a stay at home mom with Abigail. I used to work out on a very regular basis. . .biking, Pilate's, body pump, treadmill. . .I felt great. I know there are people who work out all through their pregnancy---I'm not one of those people. I started to slack on working out full time during my 3rd trimester because I got winded very easily and was scared I would pass out in class (those who know me, know I have a track record for passing out). Well actually I slacked on the 1st trimester too because I felt like crap. Then Abby was born and of course I couldn't do anything for 6 weeks due to the c-section. When she was still real little I tried getting back into the gym but had to go in the evenings when Zach got home which I hated because I was tired and just wanted to eat dinner and veg as a family together. I used to do all my working out in the middle of the day since I worked from home which was perfect for me because I could get my day started and then take a break to work out which helped me through the rest of the day. . .evening would come and I could hang out with Zach. With Abby though, I didn't want to take her to the gym daycare when she was that young because I was scared. NOW I feel like I am just too busy during the day with work and Abby. ..if she is sleeping I am working my ass off to get as much done as possible before she wakes up and when she is awake I am still working while also feeding her, playing with her and making sure she doesn't get hurt or break something or whatever.
With all of that being said--how the hell do mom's out there find time to work out again??? What do you do to motivate yourself? I don't feel like waking up extra early or working out at night because after Abs goes to sleep I usually work a little more, clean up the house from the day and VEG--I am so exhausted that working out sounds horrible. . .but I feel so out of shape compared to how I felt before getting pregers.
I just don't feel like guys understand what we go through with this battle so to all of you working moms out there--HELP! What do you do? How do you fit it all in each day? I need motivation, words of encouragement, anything as long as it is coming from a girl--I can't take advice on this from a male. . .unless of course you are a stay at home dad who also works full time. . .then maybe I'll listen a little. :)

Ugh, I hear you Kimberly. Can't wait to hear what the gals have to say out there.

I NEED TO GET MOVING...it's wearing on my psyche.

At least you are lucky enough to still look great even though you are not working out...I would just look like a soft blob:). Have you thought about just jogging during the day with Abs and then trying to do some random strength exercises at home whenever you can find the time...even just 10 minutes of sit up, push ups, and lundges would make you feel so much better.

I hear ya! It's tough (and not to be one of "those moms," but just wait until you have two.) :) Two words: GYM DAYCARE! It's awesome. Most gyms have nursery care (if yours doesn't, you can easily find one that does). Tons of moms I know do this, and now I understand why. I felt a little strange about dropping Mia off at the nursery, but one time I had to take Bianca to swim lessons and had no other choice. Mia loved it!

My second reco is a short (20 min) workout videos like Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. You can get a GOOD workout in and move on w/ your day. I can do one with Mia in the saucer and she's entertained by watching me jump around. It helps if I get dressed in my workout clothes at the beginning of the day so I can just jump in and workout whenever. :)

Three words....Somethings gotta give! Sleep, dirty dishes, tv time? Even if it is just 15 minutes a day!! Perhaps Abby can sleep one day a week in her stroller while you go for a run? I completely understand the dilema and i dont even work. My little guy is almost 6 months now, and I just started working out again! And you know me, that is a LONG time! I am so glad I am back at it, even if it is only a 30 minute workout. You will feel so much better! Gym daycare works for us too, and putting gym clothes on in the morning works for me too! I know you can find a creative solution...that what being a mom is all about!!!

I am not a "mom" but I certainly know what it is like to be extremely busy and not much time to one's self. My suggestion is the P90 or P90(X) - all done at home! I love it.

I undestand the feeling.
Did you try yoga. You can do it with your little one at home, and she will love it aswell. Insert it in the daily routine and it will become your little yoga time.
If you have the possibility for gym daycare then take it... start once a week and she will get used to be without mom for 1 hour every so often (besides it's really good for their social skills to get used to other people).
good luck and don't panic!
